Take a look at the mainstream games on the market today. Gears of War, Halo, Call of Duty 4, and the new Metal Gear Solid 4. All of these games have been top sellers and got excellent ratings from most accredited sources. But will we think of these games 10 years from now and say “I remember that one, it really was a classic.” Sometimes I wonder where the gaming business is really going; will it be the next Hollywood Movie Avenue, churning out look-alikes off the conveyor belt to make a quick profit? Or is it going to cater to individual ideas and creativity like it used to?
